Josh & Maria Mishler, Ryan, Kody and Maya Living in Germany
Josh & Maria Mishler Continue Work in Germany
Josh, Maria Mishler and their children Ryan (6), Kody (4) and Maya (18 months) continue to work in Germany. They came home to the USA in October 2008 for a short visit to attend the wedding of Jenny & Kevin Struyk. They visited supporters and family while home and returned to Germany earlier this year.
We are sorry, but we cannot give you information about the Mishler's work in Germany. If you would like more information, please contact us directly.
Ryan heads to school and also enjoyed his 5th birthday party (see birthday photos in the side toolbar marked Misher)
Ryan continues to grow and is now attending school, all in the German language. He likes it and seems to know what's going on. Kody is big buds with Ryan and the two of them continue to have fun together. Josh & Maria are back in their apartement.
Since the Euro gians strength, their support in US dollars doesn't go as far as before. Please pray for generous supporters during this time.
Happy 5th Birthday Ryan from Grandpa and Grandma Florida. Glücklicher Geburtstag zu Ihnen!
Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Ryan, happy birthday to you. - Love Grandpa and Grandma Florida.
Josh & Maria and Ryan and Kody Mishler Have Moved to Germany!!!
The Mishlers have taken up their second assignment with Wycliffe. They moved to Germany in August to begin work with Wycliffe there. Josh is the office manager there. He just finished an eight week long course in German and Maria is now taking classes.
They sold their home in Dallas and live in a rented apartment in Kandern, Germany. If you would like to assist them through prayer or finances, please contact us at (407) 671-2817 or email Barb at: Barb_Micheals@wycliffe.org.
June 2005
Ryan and Kody continue to grow. Kody isn't walking yet and really doesn't seem to interested to do so anytime soon. What he is interested in is watching and following his big brother around whenever possible. Watch out once he starts walking!
Josh had been working in Wycliffe's Management Training Office in Dallas, TX. He assisted the department in a variety of administrative duties. Maria is still a stay at home mom and keeping very busy.
Josh & Maria Mishler and Ryan Announce The Birth Of Kody Steven Mishler!!!
Kody Steven Mishler was born December 1, 2004 in Dallas, Texas. He was 20 1/2 inches long and weighed 6 lbs. 15 oz. Baby & mother are doing fine! Barb flew down to Dallas the same day and helped at home with Josh, Maria and Ryan for two weeks. Chuck flew down a week later and stay for a weekend! We praise the Lord for Frequent Flyer points that allowed Chuck & Barb to fly there for $ 10 a person round trip.
Josh & Maria have now completed their management training course and Josh has been assigned by Wycliffe Bible Translators as missionaries to be the office manager of the International Management Training Department at the International Linguistic Center in Dallas, Texas. They plan to stay there for a couple of years before going overseas to work with Wycliffe.
Pray for their needed support to take up this important office work. Currently they are at about 77% of their needed support, but they cannot take us this assignment until they are at 100% support. If you are interested in supporting them, please contact us and we will put you in touch with them. Our contact information is found on a link to the left.
Josh & Maria (plus Ryan) Return to Dallas, Start Their Training With Wycliffe and also announce a coming child!!!
The Mishlers are now involved in Wycliffe's Management Development Training Course (MDOC). MDOC is part of the Mishler's required training. It is a six month long orientation course designed to give them management experience and help them learn to manage in Wycliffe. The course is held in Dallas, Texas and goes until December.
The Mishlers returned in June to Dallas after sending two months on a Partnership Development trip in the Midwest. During the trip Maria found out she was pregnant. She is due in mid December!
They took this trip to find people who will partner with them and their work with Wycliffe. The trip was a success with many new people and churches pledging their support.
However, they are still do not have 100% support and so while they do have enough support to attend Wycliffe's Management Development Course starting in August 2004 in Dallas, they lack full support to take up an assignment after the training course.
Please be in prayer for their full support.
Josh & Maria's Partnership Development Schedule
Josh, Maria & Ryan are on a 2 month long partnership development trip in the midwest to help raise prayer and financial support to help carry them along in their work with Wycliffe. They have both quit their jobs to go on this trip and are trusting the Lord for His provision for all of their needs. They are living solely on what interested churches and individuals are giving them.
The plan, the Lord willing, is to finish their support raising by early summer and then attend Wycliffe's Management Training Program to help Josh gain needed management experience. This training is a required part of their service with Wycliffe.
Here is their schedule:
April 1 - 5 - Leave Dallas and travel to Tennessee and Indianapolis to visit friends and share the work.
April 6 - 7 - Head to Indiana to speak at the World Gospel Mission chapel. Maria use to work there.
April 8 - 12 - Head to Chicago to be with Maria's parents and celebrate Maria's mother's 50th birthday (surprise birthday party planned)

Josh & Maria Mishler and Ryan Are New Wycliffe Members
Josh & Maria have been accepted aas new memebrs of Wycliffe. They will be working with Wycliffe in the area of administration. The need for administrators in Wycliffe is critical because the work of Wycliffe has expanded greatly in the past 10 years.
Check out their photos in the web link to the left and their prayer requests at the end of this section.
Wycliffe Has Called Out, "New Administrators Urgently Needed"
The call has gone out, Wycliffe needs new administrators urgently!!! Currently many translators have had to leave translation projects to fill these administrative positions. Translation work is being slowed down.
Will you pray with them that the Lord will quickly speed them to their assignment to fill this critical need so that translators can get back to their translation programs?
Their Support
They are currently both working in jobs in the Dallas area and are saving and continuing to build their group of ministry partners so they can serve with Wycliffe full time. As soon as they have 100% of their finance and prayer support, they can begin service with Wycliffe.
In April and May they are hoping to be able to leave their current jobs and begin a Partnership Development trip to the Midwest to find new financial and prayer supporters. They plan to visit the states of Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Nebraska, Kansas and Texas on this trip.
As soon as they receive enough pledges of support, they plan to attend Wycliffe's Management Orientation Development Course in Dallas, Texas for 6 months before taking up a more permanent assignment with Wycliffe.
As with all Wycliffe missionaries, they depend solely on what interested individuals and churches contribute.
If you would like to know more about how you can become part of their team to help get them to their assignment or if you know places where they can share the ministry work they will be doing, please contact them at the address below:

Mishler Prayer Points
March 11, 2004
Dear Family and Friends,
Thanks once again to all of you for your prayers on our behalf. The Lord has really been good to us as we have worked on our plans for our upcoming partnership development trip. There have been days where we have felt really low, but the Lord has proven Himself faithful in even the small things and we know this is because of your prayers on our behalf. Please know how grateful we are for each of you. Please feel free to let us know those things which we can pray for on your behalf. We want to be a blessing to you as you have been to us.
Prayer and Praise Points:
1.For safety as we travel many miles on our partnership development trip.
2.For health for Ryan especially as we travel and for him to adjust to the different schedule of traveling and seeing many people.
3.For us to have the right words to share with people and that we would effectively communicate the vision of Wycliffe and what our part in that ministry will be. Also that hearts will be open to what we have to say.
4.For God to open and close the doors of places He wants us to share.
5.For us not to be too nervous as we get up in front of many people. Neither of us really enjoys being up front so this will be a challenge for us both.
6.That God will allow us to be open to what He has for us to learn during this time.
7.Praise the Lord for providing the necessary funds to purchase a laptop for our trip. This will be a huge help to us as we use email to communicate with our partners and this will assist us in preparing our presentations for churches/homes etc.
8.Most importantly that God would be glorified and praised through our trip.
