Jenny is now on God Tube!
Jenny was recently interviewed by Wycliffe Bible Translators. Hear her on God Tube at:
We are passionate about seeing God glorified. We're also passionate about giving the Word of God to every people group in their own language and believe Bible translation is one of the best ways to help every people group come to know the Glory of Christ and so live a life to His glory!!!
Have you ever wondered how Bible translation is done? Have you ever wondered what we do for Wycliffe in Orlando? Why not come down to Orlando for a visit?
We'd love to spent time with you and show you the work of Wycliffe first hand. There are lots of volunteer things that need doing if you want to help out, but even if you don't want to work and you just want to vacation, please consider the trip. There is lots to do in Orlando beside Disney that will help you see what God is doing around the world. We could even use the help of an electrician for small house projects!
Previous - Chuck's New Leadership Team
Chuck's leadership team recently underwent some change when Suzanne Genit joined his team as the Director of Recruitment Resources. Suzanne's job is to resouce the recrutiers with equipment and recruitment supplies (literature, displays, sources of new recruits, etc.).
Suzanne had been raising support for almost three years and finally reached 100% support. Because Suzanne was delayed in joining the team, Chuck had to make some other changes and so recently he added Morris Johnson to his senior leadership team. Morris heads up Wycliffe's Research and Professional Development team which provides data, training and technological support for Chuck's recruiters.
Chuck's other senior leaders are Brad Benson who heads up Wycliffe's Regional Recruitment team and Roy Eyre who heads up Wycliffe's Specialty Recruitment team doing recruitment for teachers, IT people and manager among some other recruiment areas. Brad's team is the largest of the teams with about 70 recruiters who are spread out from coast to coast.
In all, Chuck has around 130 staff members on these four teams.
Chuck also belong to a senior leadership team. This team provides leadership for all of Wycliffe USA. You can read about the leadership team Chuck serves on at:
Bible translation work is advancing at the greatest pace the world has ever known. The number of languages needing Bible translation is decreasing!!! Today, only 2251 languages remain to be translated. That is a decrease of almost 800 since 1999!!!

Currently worldwide there are more than 7,000 workers involved in over 1600 Bible translation projects. However, future projections call for 25,000 workers to join the task in the next 25 years in order to see the remaining 2,286 language projects started.
Chuck & Barb Micheals are involved in a ministry with Wycliffe Bible Translators, USA that will multiply the number of new workers who become involved from the USA. The goal of Wycliffe USA is to recruit 7000 new workers by 2014 to meet the growing demand for workers. Bible translation work has increase at such a pace that the number of open positions in Wycliffe has risen from 1800 in 2000 to over 2900 open positions in 2007.
Since our beginning in 1934 we have reached many goals due to the power of the Holy Spirit:
More than 732 New Testament translations. The 500th was in 1999.
More than 1,900 translation projects in progress.
Thousands of people are reading the Scriptures.
Thousands of churches have been established and are growing because they have the Word of God in their hands.
Thousands of people around the World are finding new life in Jesus Christ.
While there are people who have not had the opportunity to hear the Message of Salvation our work continues.
What part do you play in this important work?
The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Pray to the Lord of the harvest for Him to send out workers into the field.
